Administrator
Dawn Schaefer, MS, CTRS
Dawn Schaefer has been the Administrator at Alden Village North since February 2009. Before coming to Alden, Dawn worked as a Senior Manager for the Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association for 10 years. She has a master’s degree in Science with a focus on Therapeutic Recreation Administration from Aurora University in Aurora. She holds her CTRS, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.
Facility Manager
Shameka Tate
Shameka has been the Facility Manager for Alden Trails since April 2008. She is responsible for the daily operations of the home as well as ensuring that all residents' needs are met. Shameka strives to maintain a positive, home-like environment through staff training, planning activities and advocating for the best interests of the residents. Her strong work ethic and compassionate attitude are great assets for the Alden Trails team.
